Walnut Swivel Box

Beautiful figured walnut box with magnetic swivel top and white suede liner. Perfect for storing all of your small treasures! This bespoke box is crafted from American black walnut crotch wood & curly maple. Crotch wood usually comes from the part of the tree where a branch meets the main trunk and offers many stunning, desirable figured details like feathering, quilting, curling, sunburst, and more. The sides and top lid of the box are created from this American black walnut crotch wood. This gorgeous piece is rounded out with curly maple wood for the bottom & accent splines on the corners, and also includes brass hardware, white suede liner, and rare earth magnets! The main hardware is a brass swivel hinge (also known as a 'knife hinge') and the lid is held secure by rare earth magnets embedded in the corners under the suede liner. This all adds up to an incredibly smooth & satisfying experience when opening & closing the box. The small size of the box is proportioned well for small jewelry such as earrings, rings, a wristwatch, a pocket watch, cuff links, or other small accessories. With the addition of padding, it would be well-suited for the presentation of an engagement ring, a luxury watch, necklace, or other similar gifts/occasions.
